The C26/C26A was Built by International Car Company from 1971 to 1975 and the C27/C27A was built by Fruit Growers Express from 1978 to 1980 for the Baltimore and Ohio railroad, later Chessie System, and finally with the merger CSX these bay window cabooses traveled through three generations of railroads and are still in use today.
