Pullman Standard 52'6" Mill gondola, Southern Railway Series GB 60000-61499

Built by Pullman Standard in 1953 these 52'6" gondolas were delivered to the Southern Railway as there GB series 60000-61499 as a 70 ton GB class with 70 ton Barber roller bearing trucks. They were eventually upgraded to 100 ton Barber roller bearing trucks and the original as delivered National handbrake's were upgraded to Miner handbrake's. These lasted well into the Norfolk Southern era due to their usefulness. This kit comes with 70 ton Barber roller bearing trucks but can be built as either 70 ton or 100 ton with the use of 100 ton truck's. Decals are included for the 1953 as delivered era, later era lettering is available via Microscale.
